In Minnesota, fishing opener is a big deal – and walleyes are the catch most anglers seek! If you want great fishing look no further. The Brainerd lakes area features some of the best fishing in the state of Minnesota, made popular from TV shows sportsmen Al and Ron Linder, and Babe Winkelman.
According to the MN DNR, over 3 million walleyes are stocked on Gull Lake every year making the Gull Lake Chain a fisherman’s dream. From big northern pike to panfish that bite all day come see what sets us apart. Vacationing at Point Narrows Resort gives you easy access to nine lakes as part of the Gull Lake Chain: Gull, Love, Round, Margaret, Upper Gull, Bass, Spider, Roy, and Nisswa. Minnesota’s walleye fishing opener is the second Saturday in May. Our guests can bring their own watercraft (boat slip included with a rental unit) or rent one of ours!
Boating and Paddling

Minnesota’s waterways are coveted by boaters and paddlers. Our guests enjoy the accessibility of Gull Lake with the quietness of smaller lakes on the chain. Kayakers paddle close to shore taking in sights of loons, blue herons, ducks, and other wildlife. For a faster pace pull your kids on a tube or hop on your jet ski. Launch your craft at our water access for a great day on the water.

The folklore of Point Narrows Resort is that during the 1930’s era the gangsters of Chicago and Peoria frequented the area because gambling and slots were available with the stay at the resorts.
